Terms of Service & Legal Agreement

1. Introduction & Agreement

Welcome to CortexHost. By registering for, or using our web hosting services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. This agreement represents the complete understanding between you (the Client) and CortexHost regarding your use of our infrastructure.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services.

2. Account Setup & Verification

We will setup your account automatically upon receipt of payment. However, all orders are subject to manual fraud screening.

  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information upon registration.
  • Using VPNs or proxies during checkout may result in order cancellation.
  • CortexHost reserves the right to request government-issued ID for account verification to prevent fraudulent activities.

3. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

Our servers must be used for lawful purposes only. We have a zero-tolerance policy for abuse. The following activities are strictly prohibited:

  • Hosting Phishing, Malware, or Botnet controllers.
  • Sending Unsolicited Bulk Email (Spamming).
  • Hosting copyrighted materials without proper authorization (DMCA violations).
  • Cryptocurrency mining or utilizing server CPU for unauthorized processing.

Violation of this AUP will result in immediate termination without refund.

4. Server Resource Allocations

Shared hosting is designed for small to medium websites. To ensure server stability for all clients, strict resource limits are enforced:

  • Accounts may not exceed their allocated CPU, RAM, or I/O limits as defined in the plan.
  • Hosting accounts must not be used as a file dump, backup repository, or video streaming server.
  • Accounts using excessive resources may be temporarily throttled or suspended to protect server health.

5. Billing, Cancellations & Refunds

You agree to supply appropriate payment for the services received, in advance of the time period during which such services are provided.

  • Invoices are generated 7 days before the due date. Accounts unpaid after 3 days of the due date will be suspended.
  • We offer a 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee on shared hosting plans for new clients only.
  • Domain name registrations, SSL certificates, and software licenses are non-refundable under any circumstances.
  • Cancellation requests must be submitted via the WHMCS Client Area.

6. Data Security & Backups

Your use of the service is at your sole risk. While CortexHost performs routine system backups, these are provided as a courtesy and are not guaranteed.

You agree to take full responsibility for files and data transferred and to maintain all appropriate local backups of your files stored on our servers.

7. Uptime Service Level Agreement (SLA)

CortexHost guarantees a 99.9% network and server uptime. If we fail to meet this guarantee, you may request credit proportional to the downtime. This SLA does not apply to scheduled maintenance, DDoS attacks, or user-caused errors.

8. Limitation of Liability

CortexHost shall not be responsible for any claimed damages, including incidental and consequential damages, which may arise from our servers going off-line or being unavailable for any reason whatsoever.

Furthermore, CortexHost shall not be responsible for any claimed damages, including incidental or consequential damages, resulting from the corruption or deletion of any website from one of our servers.
